As a Sustainable Finance & ESG Consultant, you advise our clients, both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. As part of our team, you play an important role in expanding and developing the Sustainable Finance Practice within Synechron.
Overall Responsibilities:
Lead the business consulting practice of Synechron, working with clients to understand their business challenges and identify opportunities for improvement
Provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise in areas such as business process improvement, digital transformation, and change management
Lead project teams, overseeing the delivery of consulting services and ensuring high-quality output and client satisfaction
Build and maintain client relationships, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling of Synechron's services
Drive growth and profitability of the business consulting practice, through business development activities and team management
In addition, you work on:
Sustainable Finance regulations Change management as a result of new regulations (SFDR, EU Taxonomy, NFRD, EBA LOM, Pillar III etc.) - you ensure that internal processes and external reports comply with the new regulations Translating and implementing Sustainable Finance regulations within financial institutions.
Financial climate risks GAR (Green Asset Ratio) and climate-related depreciation, impairment and early retirement of existing assets Implementing climate and environmental risks in internal policies and procedures ESG risk framework, embedded in the risk management organization Environment, society and good governance (ESG) Anchoring ESG (data) in the DNA of our customers Disentangling the complex landscape of ESG data and helping clients adopt ESG Contributing to the creation of digital and innovative solutions using emerging technologies such as AI, Data Science & NLP.

What You Bring:
A completed master's degree;
At least 3 years of relevant work experience in the financial services industry, preferably in The Netherlands;
Excellent analysis and problem solving skills; you are curious, you challenge the status quo and take initiatives to find out how things work even if you have to do this on your own;
Affinity with and thorough knowledge of Sustainable Finance and ESG;
Experience with EU Sustainable Finance regulations (EU Taxonomy, SFDR, NFRD, EBA LOM) and/or climate-related risk reporting;
Experience with financial reporting / BI / analysis tools / risk management;
Knowledge of capital markets and/or wholesale banking and/or retail banking;
Excellent oral and written skills in Dutch and English;
Good presentation and analytical skills;
Your own network in the Dutch financial sector is a plus.
