We are seeking a passionate and talented Full Stack Python Developer to join our Core Infrastructure team at Newzoo. In this hybrid role, you'll split your time between building robust data pipelines and developing platform features for our Game Performance Monitor product, helping to deliver insights that power decision-making for the world's largest gaming companies.
About the Role
As part of our strategic vision for the Newzoo Platform, we're expanding our Core Infrastructure team. This unique position offers the opportunity to work across both infrastructure and product development, giving you exposure to both the foundational systems that power our platform and the customer-facing features that drive value for our clients.
Role Distribution
- 50% Core Infrastructure: Building and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure
- 50% Platform Engineering: Developing features for the Game Performance Monitor product squad
Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Development:
- Design and implement scalable data ingestion pipelines
- Optimize data processing systems for efficiency and reliability
- Maintain and improve our core infrastructure services
- Collaborate with other teams to define and implement data architecture standards
Platform Engineering:
- Develop new features for the Game Performance Monitor product
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs
- Implement backend services using Python and Flask
- Work closely with product managers and designers to deliver user-facing features
- Contribute to the product roadmap and technical decision-making
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with Python development
- Strong experience with Flask framework and RESTful APIs
- Solid understanding of SQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
- Experience with data processing and ETL workflows
- Proficiency in building scalable web services
- Understanding of code versioning tools and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong unit testing practices
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of gaming industry data structures and metrics
- Experience with task queues (e.g., Celery)
- Background in product development teams
