For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $134,500 - $270,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Within the Industrial Control & Drives Line of Business, you will be part of the growing System Drives activity. System Drives are a core technology in the Schneider Electric portfolio which help industrial customers decarbonize and electrify critical processes. This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced and dynamic global team of experts to shape the future of the business. The ideal candidate will have a passion for variable speed drive systems, a track record of successful prescription to close major pursuits, and a hunger for long-term profitable growth and customer satisfaction. Success in this role will depend on your ability to build and maintain relationships with the customer ecosystem as well as demonstrating a high degree of technical competence to support the more generalist local sales teams.
What will you do?
- Provides sales and prescription support primarily for End-User accounts
- Engages in customer visits in coordination with global account managers to prescribe system drives as well as to close opportunities
- Acts as a subject matter expert for System Drives in target accounts
- Sets goals and objectives, develops sales/business plans, establishes call plans and strategies, in collaboration with account managers / sales pipes leaders
- Acts as a liaison for the Drives Line of Business with other customer facing teams
- Develops account profiles and executes the sales plan to obtain year over year sales growth
- Coordinates cross-border activities linked to the target accounts (vendor list approval, multi-geo opportunities)
- Provides technical training sessions in a professional presentation format for engineers, customer personnel, internal sales, and industry professionals
- Increases System Drives sales by sharing application knowledge with application engineers, SE Sales people, and Channel partners
- Gathers market trends / segments / application data needed as well as voice of customer to convey offer portfolio enhancement needs to line of business management
What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
- Experience in a major industrial firm in the domains of Metals, Mining, Minerals, Water, or Chemicals
- Prior experience at an EPC or process equipment manufacturer
- Proven ability to collaborate in a highly matrixed organization
- Excellent problem resolution skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred; similar level in Mechanical or Software Engineering may be considered
- 10 + years of successful and pertinent experience with Variable Speed Drives
- Cross-functional experience including sales, marketing, and, engineering
- Able to be flexible to meet time zone challenges, and work with global colleagues
- Ability to lead through influence without having direct control
- Equally comfortable working independently and collaborating with others having divergent perspectives and skill sets, delivering results in consistent and established timelines
