Responsibilities:
• Leads content creation for the company’s investor relations materials relating to ESG such as the Proxy and the annual ESG Report.
• Responsible for strategy and support for the Owens & Minor Social Compliance program.
• Oversees and manages company responses to audits, external ESG questionnaires, etc., from governments, customers, and suppliers.
• Works internally, cross-functionally and with outside customers as well as vendors and retained software providers to provide audit-ready documentation related to performance criteria, metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and other measures related to the company’s sustainability programs and performance.
• Provides thought leadership towards programmatic process improvements as well as hands-on analysis and related reporting to drive sustainability projects across the company. These projects include government and customer reporting and disclosures on subjects ranging from carbon emission reduction and sustainability promotion; e.g., recycling, reduce waste/landfill generation, energy efficiency.
• Educates and trains employees on regulations and industry practices related to ESG.
• Analyzes sustainability data and works cross-functionally to support environmental impact project implementations, and monitors/ assists reporting on results.
• Contributes continuous improvement strategies for the company’s ESG management system; i.e., quality assurance processes to ensure accurate analysis, reporting, and alignment with internal ESG management system/third-party validation standards.
• Monitors trends in environmental science, renewable resources, sustainable work processes, and other relevant fields.
• Represents the company on ESG and Sustainability matters with our trade associations and other relevant organizations.
• Performs additional duties as directed.
