Our sustainability assurance team is growing – Are you our new sustainability auditor?
Are you currently working as an auditor and would like to develop your skills with sustainability assurance? Do you want to make an impact and be part of a large team of sustainability experts, who work with some of the largest companies in Denmark with their sustainability agenda? EY’s sustainability team in Aarhus is currently looking for an enthusiastic sustainability auditor to join our fast-growing assurance team that performs sustainability assurance services and helps clients transform towards more sustainable businesses. The opportunity
Are you working as an auditor and not worked with sustainability assurance before? Don’t worry. We will help you develop the skills. We are seeking someone with a passion to deliver sustainability results and who is excited by the prospect of working with pioneering and ambitious clients. Preferably you have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working with audits. You’ll spend most of your time in assisting clients with assurance readiness and assurance of sustainability statements prepared according to ESRS standard and applicable disclosure information. You enjoy actively contributing to the growth and development of our sustainability audits as an audit team member. Together with the team, you will be working as a sustainability auditor on various sustainability engagements.
In EY's sustainability team, we continuously work with a wide range of exciting projects and initiatives to help our clients respond to issues across the sustainability agenda. Topics include:
- Executing sustainability assurance of sustainability statements
- Conducting double materiality assessment reviews
- Developing or improving companies’ external sustainability reporting
- Assisting with implementation of new legislation, e.g. the EU Taxonomy, CSRD, NFRD etc.
- Conducting ESG due diligence in relation to acquisitions and sales of companies
- Assurance of human rights, labour rights and environmental due diligence procedures
- Review of Decarbonisation including Setting Science Based Targets and TCFD recommendations
- Review of climate scenario analyses
Key responsibilities
- Audit team member of sustainability assurance engagements
- Ensure deliveries of high quality
- Contribute to further development of EY’s sustainability department in Aarhus
What we are looking for
You will make an impact if you are eager to learn, and creating a positive working culture where in collaboration with your colleagues. Furthermore, you will collaborate with EY colleagues throughout our global network to stay updated on best practice.
We are looking for someone who has a good general understanding of audits and is interested in shifting focus to sustainability audits. You can expect plenty of autonomy in this role, so you’ll also need the ability to take initiative and seek out opportunities to improve our current relationships and processes.
Above all, we value working with people who are driven, curious, skilled, proactive and pleasant to work with. Additionally, we imagine you’ll bring to the table:
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with audits
- Excellent written and verbal communication (preferably in both Danish and English)
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, who enjoys building relations
- Experience with participation in a range of engagements simultaneously
- Experience working in a team-based environment
- Solid sense of detail and delivering quality results
