DescriptionWSP is currently seeking a Sustainability Analyst to join our Climate Change, Resilience and Sustainability team ideally located in Vancouver with options for location in Toronto, Kitchener or Montreal. Ideally, the successful candidate will have a background in sustainability analysis of buildings, infrastructure or transportation projects with 0-4 years of related experience.

What you will do at WSP
- Be an active member of project teams working on greening the built environment including new buildings, communities, infrastructure and transportation projects.
- Responsible for analysis, report preparation, project deliverables and outcomes such as performance calculations (e.g. energy and water consumption, life cycle assessment) and summary reports;
- Liaise with our larger Climate Change and Resilience teams such as energy modeling team on building simulations/analysis;
- Provide technical support, perform calculations and contribute to certification applications (such as LEED, Envision or WELL);
- Conduct research in green building technologies and design principles;
- Assist the team in developing visual reports and project correspondence;
- Help develop and/or improve internal processes and templates and promote best practices across the organization;
- Other duties as assigned/required.
What you bring to WSP
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architectural, environmental or sustainability;
- General knowledge of the principles of sustainable design practices, sustainable designations such as Envision SP, LEED AP or WELL AP are an asset;
- 2-4 years of related work experience is an asset;
- Previous experience in the sustainability field through academics or otherwise such as life cycle assessment software;
- Past co-op or summer work term experience in the engineering or construction industry strongly desired;
- Exceptional time-management and organizational skills; attention to detail and strong work ethic;
- Ability to learn quickly and incorporate feedback into future work;
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Powerpoint;
- Strong oral and written communication skills including presentation skills;
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities;
- Collaborative mindset and proven ability to work in a team environment with success;
