Job Title: Data Center Lead - Windows Environment
Location: Washington, DC(Onsite)
Duration: Full-Time.
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Data Center Lead
to join our dynamic team of IT professionals. In this role, you will be
responsible for providing crucial support to our client's platform,
encompassing production support, system implementation, technical sizing, and
design support for all client PMO application systems. Your primary focus will
be on efficiently and effectively implementing changes and upgrades to the
system, while proactively ensuring the performance and availability of key
applications utilized by the client.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily operational support for a MS Windows-based
network, leading a team of Systems Engineers and Administrators.
- Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for MS Active Directory
and Exchange in a multi-site domain utilizing VMware ESX.
- Administer systems in Microsoft Windows 2008 R2/2012 R2
environments, including clustering, Group Policies, advanced configuration,
anti-virus and anti-malware software, email gateways, NetApp SAN storage,
network routing, and PowerShell scripting.
- Manage and administer Microsoft software such as MS Exchange
Server, MS SQL Server, Active Directory, and LDAP technologies within a Windows
environment.
- Utilize server monitoring tools for effective management of the
Windows environment.
- Develop and troubleshoot Group Policies using Microsoft
Resultant Set of Policy (RSOP).
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in an IT data
center role, with at least 2 years in a Lead or Team Lead position.
- 2 years of experience supporting a civilian federal government
agency in a TS environment.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or team lead experience.
- Strong understanding of federal government agency policies and
procedures for data center operations.
- Preferred certifications: MCSE Certification and Project
Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with
the ability to communicate effectively at a management level.
- Experience managing compliance with license agreements and
controlling user access to the system.
- Proficiency in monitoring and optimizing the performance of MS
Windows-based systems.
- Ability to plan, execute, and maintain backup and recovery
procedures for the system.
- Experience in writing functional requirements and preparing
functional designs.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
preferred, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Security Clearance:
- Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
