Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) Engineering Manager 2. This position is located in Roy, UT and will support the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division.

What You’ll Get To Do:
Interprets, recommends, and complies with environmental, health and safety regulations and/or company policies.
Assist in planning for changes in physical facilities to meet new EPA/OSHA requirements.
Leads the development and implementation of the Division EHS programs and training.
Collaboration with Sector ESHM Managers to harmonize ESH policies and procedures for our division
Engagement and consult with site leadership to foster a safety and health culture across the various programs
Finds, evaluates, and prepares contracts for properly licensed hazardous and radioactive waste disposal firms and monitors waste handling.
Organizes and equips spill-control teams.
Prepares environmental impact statements and applies for all new permits and renewals.
Provides input to federal and state regulators through trade associations and industry groups for the writing and revision of regulations.
Protect the Company and your fellow employees from loss and injury due to accidents.
Conduct inspections, audits, and incident investigations, and drive corrective actions.
Find, evaluate, and prepare contracts for properly licensed hazardous waste treatment, storage and disposal (TSD) facilities.
Organize and equip spill-control teams. Write and update environmental and spill-control manuals and procedures.
Prepare applications for any new required EPA permits and renewals.
Provide input to federal and state regulators, through trade associations and industry groups, for the writing and revision of regulations.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 6 years of Environmental, Health, and Safety experience, or Masters Degree and 4 years of related EHS experience.
Minimum of 1 year of experience leading a project and/or driving performance against cost and schedule and leading a team of EHS professionals in the field of EHS.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.
Ability to travel 25% of the time.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Master of Science (MS) degree in industrial hygiene, safety, engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication and collaboration skills with all levels of an organization.
Strong management, coaching, and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to organize and multi-task various Industrial Hygiene and Safety programs effectively.
Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with subordinates and delegate responsibilities with productive outcome.
Demonstrated ability to independently prioritize, plan and execute in rapidly changing, fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality results.
Ability to analyze complex problems and to develop innovative solutions based on sound scientific principles.
Ability to provide technical solutions to complex problems based on sound safety principles.
Ability to recognize opportunities for process improvements and to develop and implement more efficient and enhanced programs.
Experience in conducting air monitoring, noise surveys and dosimetry, ventilation surveys, respiratory protection and fit testing, field sampling, cryogenics study, and incident investigations.
Experience in conducting personal protective equipment assessments, and job hazard analysis.
Experience in conducting in person training and developing online training for various industrial hygiene related topics to various types of audience.
Experience with managing various industrial hygiene and safety programs based on the review and interpretation of regulations and standards.
Experience with managing/overseeing third party consultants/contractors.
Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
Experience with supporting EHS programs for manufacturing operations.
Computer based skills specifically with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point programs.
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Tableau.

Salary Range: $111,700.00 - $167,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
