The Finance Director Siemens Energy, Japan, will focus on cross-business areas and country-related Finance matters and management of external stakeholders and the Finance community, providing a framework for all businesses located in the country.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- This role will be leading Finance for Siemens Energy in Japan in entirety, which has a growing Wind Power business and our conventional energy business
- Act as a trusted partner to the Country Managing Director in developing a regional country integrated view in business development and enabling business growth in close alignment with Hub and Business within the Siemen Energy Operating Model
- Responsibility for the integrity of books and records/financial compliance, and for an effective Asset, Risk Management and Internal Control System.
- Lead, oversee, manage and bring up country Finance matters e.g. legal topics and compliance to financial rules, financial legal entity governance, financial risk management, inflation, foreign exchange and liquidity, local function and financial topics as well as other critical topics.
- Represent Siemens Energy towards external stakeholders, such as auditors, shareholders, customers, suppliers and business partners
- Coordination and Stakeholder Management especially towards government authorities such as Tax office, Ministries, City's regulatory bodies
- Act as the investors’ advocate by protecting the assets and driving sustainable value creation, e.g. by supporting, yet carefully reviewing relevant investments, periodically evaluating the portfolio of the entity, and leading initiatives to reduce the asset base.
- Play a key role together with Hub / Business Areas / Functions for regional productivity improvements, cost optimization and provide a lean platform of Corporate Functions and the overall infrastructure for all businesses in the entities assigned.
- Develop work behaviors and organizational structure; act as a mentor to identify, develop, and retain country/regional individuals with strong Finance skills.
- Active contribution in Finance initiatives cross business area and cross country.
What You Bring
• Strong operational experience in leading a Finance function for an organization – ideally for a regional legal entity in a project, sales and service environment.
• Experience in difference business areas such as commercial sales, commercial project management, corporate functions - Finance, Tax, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Real Estate
• Ideally have gained international experience in a global organization.
• Strong knowledge in Financial Controlling and Management Accounting (IFRS) and reporting systems/environment. ERP and Finance systems, knowledge, preferably SAP/Spiridon.
• Proven track record of building high performance teams, identifying, developing and promoting diverse workforce.
• Bachelor/ Master’s Degree in Business or Accounting/ Finance, ACCA/ CPA/ CIMA or equivalent
• Experience of 5-8 years’ in leading finance/ commercial/ functional teams, or experience as Country Division/ Business Unit Controller
• Must be fluent in English
