JOB SUMMARY: This position is part of the Office of Environmental Management - Los Alamos Field Office, Department of Energy. As a Program Support Specialist, you will serve as a program support advisor on effectiveness of programs and operations for the Office of Quality & Regulatory Compliance (OQRC) in the Los Alamos Field Office (EM-LA). You will provide technical guidance on classified analysis and evaluation, congressionally mandated reporting, and long-range projections. MAJOR DUTIES: As a Program Support Specialist, you will: Interpret, review, and analyze broad policies, regulations, procedures, and system(s) requirements to determine impact on local operations. Maintain collaborative agreements for cultural resource management with area governments. Oversee development, implementation, and compliance of cultural and natural resource protection laws and regulations; and acts as a Tribal Liaison. Serve as the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) on the Natural Resources Damage Assessment (NRDA) support contract. Identify, develop, and evaluate administrative program policies, regulations, goals, and/or objectives for use in the management and direction of programs.
