The Environmental Program Analyst will work in the field at a refinery. Combine your skills with our specialized training to handle environmental regulatory compliance with some of the biggest names in the oil and gas industry. Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) experience is not required, this role would be ideal for someone who is independent, a problem solver, a strategic thinker, someone who shows curiosity, and who is always looking to make a process better/more efficient. POSITION PURPOSE
· Maintain environmental compliance through state and federal regulations
· Look for ways to continuously improve LDAR program
· Provide Notification and Leak Reports as required by project site through site-specific distribution requirements.
· Accompany regulatory agency auditors during audits to ensure compliance and initiate corrective actions.
· Develop skills and abilities to lead LDAR projects
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
0-2 Years Experience
· Basic PC Skills with particular emphasis on MS Office Suite (Word, Excel); Strong experience in chemical plants or refineries preferred, but not required.
· Must have proven interpersonal styles and communication methods to develop effective partnerships to meet mutual goals and objectives.
· Demonstrate a strong ability to analyze data, evaluate situations and identify problems or opportunities, including likely causes of equipment leaks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
· Will report directly to the Site Supervisor at an assigned customer site, however, this position will also work closely with management to maintain customer requirements and satisfaction while verifying that the company’s goals and standards are met.
· Reporting all incidents, injuries, near misses, motor vehicle or any other unsafe condition or acts to supervisor and the Safety Department regardless of how minor they are.
· Will be able to demonstrate competency and communicable knowledge of other technologies (OGI/IR/others).
· Receives and manages all MOC's, ensuring all equipment changes are added, updated or removed from the monitoring database in a timely manner.
· Responsible for following pre-determined routes and identifying flags hung on LDAR applicable lines and equipment
· Responsible for determining equipment applicability to create monitoring routes
· Using a portable analyzer and electronic data collector, responsible for monitoring components in an accurate and efficient manner.
· Conduct inspections as necessary. Conduct re-monitoring inspection of leaks repaired by maintenance personnel as requested.
· May include daily upload of monitoring activity to the customer database and completing or reviewing daily emissions monitoring reports- must have basic computer knowledge.
· Will be able to review work of others, identify gaps. Ability to perform LDAR Audits.
· Support the re-monitoring of components when the test instrument fails calibration Drift Check.
· Communicating/coordinating with all levels of plant personnel.
· Progressive ability to read and understand P&IDs.

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Safety-oriented attitude with a true commitment to personal safety as well as the safety of other is a must. Must be willing/able to don respiratory protection equipment for extended periods of time. Must be reliable/dependable with reliable transportation. Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends when necessary. May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
