Job Description:
As the Project Finance Transactor, you will be responsible for the following:
Develop and Maintain Financial Models: Create and manage detailed financial models to assess the feasibility, profitability, and risk of renewable energy projects
Design Financing Structures: Structure innovative financing solutions, including debt and equity options, that align with each project’s objectives and ensure optimal capital allocation
Conduct Due Diligence: Lead comprehensive due diligence processes to evaluate the viability of potential projects, identifying key risks and opportunities
Prepare Transaction Documentation: Oversee the preparation and review of all transaction-related documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Collaborate with Internal & External Stakeholders: Work closely with internal teams and external partners to secure necessary approvals and financing, ensuring smooth project execution
Negotiate Financing Terms: Lead negotiations with financial institutions, investors, and other stakeholders to secure favorable financing terms and close deals
Monitor Project Financial Performance: Track and report on the financial performance of projects post-financing, ensuring alignment with targets and addressing any emerging issues
Stay Ahead of Industry Trends: Continuously monitor industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to inform strategic decision-making and maintain a competitive edge
Ensure Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful execution of projects, from financial closure to delivery
Provide Strategic Updates: Keep senior management and key stakeholders informed on project progress, financial performance, potential risks, and key developments
Skills & Experience:
Expertise in financial structuring
Strong analytical skills
Transaction execution
4-5 years of experience in project finance, preferable within Inpendent Power Producers
Qualification:
Qualified CA(SA) or completed CFA
Relevant finance or accounting degree
