Collins Aerospace is looking for an Environmental, Health & Safety Generalist for our Brazonics team within Mission Systems.
The candidate must be a self-starter, goal focused, detail orientated and able to work collaboratively with employees of all levels. They will be required to have relevant experience in EH&S with strength in developing and implementing creative injury reduction programs or campaigns. The candidate will need to be able to take direction and project priorities from the EH&S Manager as well work independently.
Brazonics, Inc. is a brazing, machining and engineering company based out of Hampton, New Hampshire. Brazonics specializes in dip and vacuum brazing combined with highly sophisticated chassis testing.

The selected candidate will support the Thermal and Electronic Solutions team within Mission Systems and the individual will play a key role in the organization as they prepare for a facility relocation.
This is an ONSITE position located in Hampton, NH but will be moving to Durham, NH in 2025.
What You Will Do
- Recognizing, evaluating, and controlling hazardous workplace conditions
- Taking proactive steps to ensure the safety and health of site employees and influencing safe behaviors
- Monitor, administer, evaluate and coordinate with supervisors & managers to implement company EH&S programs to ensure a safe workplace.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, local and company EHS requirements.
- Auditing and evaluating current policies, procedures, and documentation to assure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Investigating, analyzing, and interpreting data from injuries and near-misses ensuring corrective actions are completed on time, and all necessary documentation is in place
- Interact with employees and promote relationships, learn the tasks employees perform and be known as a resource to the employees at the site. Work toward building partnerships and influencing across assigned areas to provide actionable improvement programs.
- Obtain certification (HAZWOPER) to act as a member of the spill response team.
- Think critically, apply current knowledge to situations and problem solve.
- Under the direction of the EH&S manager support and implement EH&S programs.
- Collaborate across department to achieve and maintain consistency of EH&S program implementation
- Attention to detail and ability to a take a project from start to finish within the prescribed timeframe.
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance team on various projects.
- Conduct regular site inspections for compliance with EH&S programs and applicable laws & regulations.
- Assist in Annual EH&S Audits as prescribed by programs.
- Strong organizational skills
- Communication skills both written and verbal.
- Assist with the Contractor Management Program and be a Contractor Coordinator
- Contribute to the development and implementation of EH&S strategic initiatives that drive continuous improvement.
- Support the site to meet EH&S requirements for upcoming internal/external audits and EH&S program requirements.
- Provide training on various EH&S topics.
- Assist with the implementation of continuous improvement activities and corrective actions.
- Promote safety culture and EH&S Tasks and initiatives.
- Position requires limited travel for participation in Company seminars, EHS audits and training opportunities as well as occasional work at our Gloucester, MA location as dictated by workload. Mileage will be reimbursed.
- Must be willing and able to respond to emergencies after hours as needed on an infrequent basis
Qualifications You Must Have

- Knowledge and application of OSHA/EPA regulations and ANSI Standards
- Have or obtain DOT, NHDES, and HazMat certifications to manage hazardous waste locations, perform inspections of SAA & CAA’s and sign manifests for shipments as needed.
- Previous experience working at an OSHA VPP (Voluntary Protection Program) site
- Ability to accurately diagnose general and complex EH&S issues, determine appropriate or practical controls, and implement practical and effective solutions in a timely manner
- Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple projects and programs in a fast-pace environment and demonstrate effective prioritization and implementation skills
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications
- Must be able to work well independently and within a team environment
- Project management and execution skills
- Previous experience working in a machine shop environment
- Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills
