NOTE: This job is not for a full-time employee role.
We are paying $150 to $300 an hour to interview subject-matter experts with experience in the design, development, and/or manufacturing of equipment and systems used in the production, storage, transportation, and utilization of hydrogen fuels.
- Ideal candidates will have worked at companies like the following.
- Industrial gas companies: Firms like Linde, Air Products and Chemicals, and Air Liquide are major producers of hydrogen, using methods like steam methane reforming and electrolysis.
- Energy companies: Some oil and gas companies like BP and Shell are investing in green hydrogen production projects as part of their transition to cleaner energy.
- Electrolyzer manufacturers: Companies like ITM Power specialize in making electrolyzers for green hydrogen production.
- Gas storage and pipeline companies: Industrial gas companies often have hydrogen storage facilities and pipeline networks.
- Cryogenic equipment manufacturers: Companies like Chart Industries produce specialized equipment for liquefying and storing hydrogen at very low temperatures.
- Fuel cell manufacturers: Companies like Ballard Power Systems and Bloom Energy develop fuel cells for various applications, including vehicles and stationary power generation.
- Automotive companies: Firms like Hyundai and Nikola are developing hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.
- Industrial users: Companies in sectors like steel, chemicals, and fertilizers are exploring the use of hydrogen to reduce emissions in their processes.
- Linde and Air Products are examples of companies that handle production, storage, transportation, and end-use applications of hydrogen.
- thyssenkrupp Uhde offers engineering services for chemical plants, including hydrogen production facilities.
- Westport Fuel Systems develops alternative fuel systems that can use hydrogen in vehicles.
This role will support our research, publishing, and strategy services.
- Contribute remotely through simple, one-hour interviews. We’re looking for you to provide industry insights. We can do that quickly and easily through scheduled interviews. You share your knowledge and expertise. There is no obligation beyond that.
- Share your input. We form our perspective. Your insights are one of many inputs we use to develop our independent perspective internally for our projects. Your insights will not be used directly in our projects or shared with our clients.
- You are paid once the interview is complete.
- Keep your day job (or stay retired) and receive supplemental pay. Your engagement with Lifecycle Insights doesn’t change your current employment state. Keep doing what you are doing, whether that includes working full-time for another company or enjoying retirement. We’ll provide payment for your contributions.
- Set up to avoid conflicts of interest. Our engagement with you will focus on the business dynamics and trends, processes and practices, roles and responsibilities, organizational structures, and types of solutions in the industry. We will not broach or discuss anything related to your employer. Share this engagement with your employer as appropriate.
- We get started with a short interview. To ensure there is a good fit, we’ll have a short discussion to ensure the engagement works for both parties. If it is a fit, we’ll proceed to get a limited contractor agreement in place and paid projects.
Responsibilities
- Respond to interview requests promptly, within two business days.
- Attend scheduled interviews, participating through online platforms like Zoom.
- Answer interview questions to the best of your ability without sharing any information about your current employer’s efforts in the industry.
