Summary of Role
The Inspections Coordinator will support the Operations Manager in driving timelines between installation and inspections. They will be responsible for engaging with customers and inspection agencies to schedule inspections and collect all relevant documentation to ensure compliance and expedience from Installation to PTO.
Success Defined:
- Ensure a >95% inspection success rate
- Schedule and complete inspections <10 days from install completion date
Strategic & Tactical Responsibilities
- Support the Operations Manager in driving KPIs around inspection failure rates to a minimum
- Collaborate with the permitting team to drive permit revision timelines to a minimum
- Schedule and coordinate inspections with customers and the AHJs within our operating territory
- Ensure AHJ database fidelity is maintained for jurisdictions within their assigned territories
- When necessary, support the Operations Manager with build partner engagement to expedite the successful completion of any and all required inspections
- Support the permitting process when required or requested by the Permitting Team Lead
- Ensure service levels are met and all queues are meeting the defined SLA’s
- Continually evaluate and improve internal processes
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in business processing related to position
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work in multiple platforms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in dealing with building and electrical code compliance, permitting, and inspections
- Experience with Solar PV and storage installation practices as related to various NEC code requirements
- Problem solver
- Strong computer skills (G Suite)
- Customer service mindset
- Spanish language proficiency is a plus
