Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Discipline Manager specializing in Power and Energy, with a focus on Solar, Wind, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in renewable energy projects and will lead technical design and direct the efforts of a talented engineering team. This role is pivotal to shaping the direction of our renewable energy projects and delivering innovative solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on Solar PV, Wind, and BESS projects, providing deep technical expertise and guidance
- Lead the technical design efforts across renewable energy projects, ensuring excellence in engineering and project outcomes with ability to speak to clients, vendors, and contractors
- Manage and mentor a small team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment and also support national recruiting efforts
- Oversee project development from concept through completion, maintaining a high standard of quality and efficiency
- Collaborate closely with the VP of Power and Energy to align strategies and goals within the discipline and provide yearly business planning
- Provide technical oversight, review project deliverables, and implement best practices to meet project requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Demonstrated expertise in Solar, Wind, and BESS projects, minimum of twelve (12) years of professional experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred
- Proven experience in leading engineering teams and managing project deliverables
- Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously across the United States
