THE DIRECTOR OF SERVICE PRODUCT POSITION
Sunnova Energy is searching for a strategic and entrepreneurial Director of Service Product to build and scale our service business from the ground up. This pivotal leadership role demands a visionary who can conceptualize, develop, and execute a comprehensive service product strategy while driving revenue operations across multiple business verticals. The ideal candidate will be a builder at heart – someone who can identify market opportunities, create innovative service products, establish go-to-market strategies, and build high-performing sales organizations.
This role requires end-to-end ownership of the service business lifecycle – from product ideation and development through commercialization and optimization. The Director of Service Product will be instrumental in driving revenue growth through both direct and indirect sales channels while ensuring seamless integration with our field service operations. Success in this position requires deep understanding of marketplace dynamics and platform economics, coupled with strong technical knowledge of energy management systems and service automation platforms. As the architect of our service strategy, they will own the full product portfolio and drive annual targets across Business-to-Business, Business-to-Consumer, and Commercial and Industrial markets.
Success in this role requires a creative and analytical mindset, coupled with strong commercial acumen and the ability to build and lead teams. The Director of Service Product must be comfortable operating in ambiguous environments, skilled at seeing around corners, and capable of making data-driven decisions while moving quickly. They should have a proven track record of scaling technical service platforms, optimizing unit economics, and creating network effects in marketplace businesses. This is a unique opportunity for a driven leader to shape the future of energy services while maintaining strong partnerships with key stakeholders across the organization.
