Your area of work:
Sustainability Reporting within the Financial Accounting & Controlling Area is responsible for defining, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive Sustainability Reporting and Internal Control Framework for Deutsche Börse Group (DBG). This includes oversight of the sustainable data collection process and continuously improvement of the internal control environment to ensure consistent, accurate and timely information as well as auditable and efficient reporting processes. Furthermore, the Area drives the identification, advisory and implementation of new sustainable reporting and disclosure practices, based on a deep understanding of requirements from regulators, investors, and sustainable actors.
Your responsibilities:
- Support the preparation of the annual CSRD compliant Sustainability Statement including information and data gathering, content development and external assurance
- Ensure alignment with sustainability disclosure requirements and best practices. Identify potential challenges and proactively address them to ensure timely and high-quality results
- Create internal alignment and awareness within the functions and governance structures regarding the preparation of reports and other submission and coordinate the reporting process, reporting requirements and action plans to improve sustainability reporting and disclosures by liaising with stakeholders
- Continuously work toward improving the sustainability reporting processes and related internal control environment to ensure sustainable data reliability, accuracy and audit-proof reporting processes and internal controls
- Collaborate closely with the business units and key internal leaders, data owners, technical functions, internal audit and external assurance providers to maintain a well-controlled, standardized internal reporting processes and to ensure accurate and timely reporting and disclosure of the sustainable data and information
Your profile:
- You successfully finished your studies in the area of Finance, e.g., Sustainability Management, Business Administration, Economics or similar qualification with a solid background knowledge in handling sustainability reporting
- You are familiar with sustainable related regulations and framework, e.g., CSRD, EU Taxonomy
- You have first professional in-house and/or consultancy experience and ideally experience in sustainability management
- You have excellent language skills in German and English as well as expert knowledge in MS Office (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
- Your independent and structured way of working, agile mind-set, as well as analytical skills help you manage new requirements easily and successfully balance interests of all internal and external parties
- You are able to interact effectively with stakeholders of all levels, enjoy working in cross-functional teams and projects and are keen to implement and steer governance processes
