Job Description
Our Environmental, Health, and Safety team plays an essential role in our safety culture and organizational success. As a Division EHS Manager, you will get to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, leveraging your entrepreneurial spirit, EHS project management skills, expertise in EHS best practices, and passion for EHS programs and training, to create great Safety outcomes. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, implement, analyze, and drive accountability of the Division’s EHS initiatives and programs. Liaise as required with the Corporate EHS Team to ensure consistency with Enterprise initiatives and policies.
- Foster an environment that encourages superior Safety Awareness and Environmental Stewardship through the implementation and support of the Safety & Environmental Management Systems.
- Lead, develop, evaluate, and promote talent by overseeing a diverse and global EHS team.
- Collaborate with local site EHS & Ops teams in proactive identification and reduction of EHS risk.
- Provide robust communication regarding EHS programs and regulatory developments to senior management and internal/external stakeholders.
- Provide oversight and periodic review of EHS policies to ensure compliance with local country/state law.
- Lead the Divisional EHS team to supply customers and certification bodies to meet regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety & Environmental Management, Chemical, Environmental, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or similar.
- Demonstrated leadership of global teams and proven experience in strategic EHS management and global multi-site manufacturing.
- Experience in chemical product manufacturing, chemical risk management programs and regulations, and chemical storage regulations/standards.
- Advanced knowledge of regulatory agency requirements and industry standards inclusive of (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, local fire regulations/permit, REACH, VOC, Prop 65, and OSHA.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the clear and concise transfer of information with all levels of employees, both internally and externally.
- Ability to identify, define, analyze, and prioritize opportunities and problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and solve problems efficiently.
- Flexibility in hours to support diverse global teams.
- Ability to travel up to 40%.
