Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Software Tester in our Andover, MA location.
We are seeking a talented, “hands-on” Software Tester to assist with the development of Schneider Electric’s Building Management System (BMS) platform. You will be part of an agile software development team, collaborating closely with both local and global development teams. You will be responsible for testing and supporting our industry-leading programmable BACnet field controllers.
What do you get to do in this position?
- Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, PI Planning, and Team Meetings.
- Design high-quality manual and automated test cases
- Execute test plans and perform regression testing to support releases
- Set up and configure physical controller environments, including routers, switches, PCs, and electrical wiring of I/O devices
- Analyze and troubleshoot/debug product-related network problems
- Work with local and distributed teams and with local and remote stakeholders
Qualifications -
We value a diverse range of skills and experiences. While the following qualifications are preferred, we encourage candidates with relevant skills and a passion for testing to apply.
- 3+ years’ experience as a Software Tester or similar role
- Experience in writing and executing formal test cases
- Solid software troubleshooting skills
- Solid experience with automated testing tools
- Understanding of networking concepts, especially TCP/IP and Ethernet
- Knowledge of network troubleshooting using network analysis tools such as Wireshark
