Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Research and Innovation Intern at our Andover, MA or Boston, MA location for Summer 2025.
What will you do?
- We want to make data centers more sustainable, more adaptive and more automated. This internship position will work within the CTO Technology Exploration team on projects which innovate the systems that support data centers. Potential tasks might include, but are not limited to:
Researching green technologies around heat reuse, and carbon capture.
- Research exploration of future products
Technology research related to sustainability and data centers
- Researching customer needs and trends
- Creating calculators in excel
- The ideal candidate must be extremely curious, have a systems mindset and have a passion for sustainability
What qualifications will make you successful?
- Pursuing a degree in a technical major. Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or similar preferred
- CAD skills a plus
- Some programming background a plus
- Be able to write technical papers based on research
- Be able to present research / project updates to an audience.
- Be able to use traditional MS Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Must be located in the Boston/Andover area; relocation is not provided for this position
