Position Title: Network Engineer - Apprentice

Direct Report: Network Systems Engineer
Position Summary:
A Network Engineer (Junior Level) Apprentice at Georgia Aquarium is responsible for assisting with maintain, monitoring and updating network systems. Position requires strong troubleshooting skills using industry standard methods.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the day-to-day operational support for the network
- Install, configure, and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, such as connectivity, performance, security, and configuration
- Monitor and analyze network performance and
- Document and update network diagrams, policies, procedures, and
- Assist senior network engineers with network design, planning, and implementation
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT
- Research and evaluate new network technologies and
- Follow industry standards and best practices for network security and
Qualifications:
- 1-2yrs experience in network systems, and infrastructure
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, or related field
- CompTIA A+, Network+,
- Excellent Communications and Customer service skills
- Demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting networking and firewall issues, HPE/Aruba, Meraki, and Cisco.
