We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse network by managing relationships with vendors, maintaining quality standards, and optimizing inventory control processes.
Huge opportunity for growth in the role as our company expands. The role is home-based some travel opportunities to Project Kickoffs, warehouses, our HQ or local conferences.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Vendor Sourcing and Onboarding:
- Identify and evaluate potential warehouse vendors based on cost, capacity, location, and service capabilities.
- Negotiate contracts and service level agreements with vendors to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Onboarding procedures for new vendors, including training and integration with existing systems.
Vendor Management and Compliance:
- Monitor vendor performance against key performance indicators (KPls) and address any deficiencies promptly.
- Conduct regular audits of vendor facilities to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company quality standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices related to warehousing and logistics.
Inventory Management and Audits:
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal teams.
Sales Support:
- Assist sales executives in developing strategies to meet sales targets and expand our warehousing services.
- Provide technical expertise and support during sales presentations and negotiations.
- Participate in industry events and conferences to promote our services and network with potential clients.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field referred
- Experience:
- Minimum a year of experience working in a warehouse environment
- Proven track record in vendor management, negotiation, and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and quality standards.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of square footage and warehouse capacity.
- Other:
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
