Job Description
As EVP Nordics, you will oversee all Statkraft assets in the region, managing daily operations and driving long-term value in hydropower and wind. This role focuses on maximizing asset potential, ensuring safe, sustainable practices, and expanding our renewable footprint. You will identify and develop growth opportunities, ensure compliance, and collaborate to strengthen our market position, while also representing Statkraft to key regional stakeholders and contributing to company-wide leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic development of Statkraft’s asset portfolio across the Nordics, ensuring long-term value creation and operational excellence.
- Drive the development of new hydropower, onshore wind, and solar projects, maximizing Statkraft’s impact on the renewable energy transition.
- Oversee all aspects of asset ownership, balancing risk, performance, and profitability, while ensuring sustainable, safe operations.
- Represent Statkraft to external stakeholders in Norway and Sweden, positioning us as a trusted leader in renewable energy.
- Act as owner of Statkraft’s portfolio of regional companies in Norway.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and Statkraft's internal standards, including The Statkraft Way.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize revenues and minimize risk, working closely with Statkraft’s Markets division.
- Lead a matrix-based organization to harness synergies and develop capabilities across regions, working collaboratively with various units to maximize competitive advantage.
Qualifications
We are seeking a dynamic leader with the commercial insight, technical expertise, and strategic mindset to drive success in the Nordics. You should have a strong understanding of asset management in the energy sector, a passion for renewable energy, and the ability to inspire and lead large, complex teams.
Key qualifications include:
- Senior leadership experience from similar roles, ideally in renewable energy or asset-heavy industries.
- A safety-first mindset, ensuring that health, safety, and sustainability are at the core of everything we do.
- Proven ability to lead large, multi-disciplinary teams in a matrix-based organization, with strong collaborative and relationship-building skills.
- A strong commercial mindset and ability to balance operational excellence with long-term value creation.
- Experience in project development and operations, with deep knowledge of renewable technologies like hydropower, wind, and solar.
- The ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes—from government bodies to local communities and international partners.
- Strong understanding of risk management, asset ownership, and compliance requirements.
- High personal integrity, with strong ethical standards and excellent decision-making skills.
- Outstanding communication skills to inspire confidence and alignment across internal and external stakeholders including fluency in Norwegian/Swedish and English.
