Job Description
As the lead for the Scrum Master Enablement team for IT Development, you will collaborate with Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches across the organisation to grow Statkraft agile maturity in Norway, Germany, England, and India. You will support our 30+ product teams by identifying their needs and focusing the efforts of the Scrum Master team. While focusing primarily on high-level strategic support, you will remain hands-on with one team to maintain a strong connection to fieldwork. You will have the opportunity to work closely with business users in various parts of the company and gain insights into producing, selling, and maintaining renewable power assets as well as conducting analysis of hydrology, power markets, and preventive maintenance. You will enable IT to deliver value often to the business so that they can accelerate their important work.
You will lead a team of 8 dedicated Scrum Masters, focusing on core initiatives like growing Scrum awareness, fostering the Scrum Master community, and sharing facilitation techniques with other employees growing in a Scrum Master role. While you have no formal managerial responsibilities, you will actively engage in team-level goal setting, capacity planning, and recruitment to ensure the team's development and alignment with organizational goals.
As part of the Lean Agile Center of Excellence (LACE) core group supported by 3 Agile Coaches, you will work together to define goals and strategies for growing agile practices globally. In this role, you will collaborate as an equal, applying your expertise to actively deliver on these goals alongside other key stakeholders.
You will provide ad hoc support to Scrum teams to maintain a connection to fieldwork.
Your responsibilities:
- Identify the agile maturity of the product teams, express their needs, and plan appropriate responses to ensure their continuous progress towards becoming self-managed, autonomous, cross-functional teams
- Be a champion of the lean agile mindset across the organisation and grow together with other Scrum Masters in a community
- Collaborate with the agile coaches and representatives of the Product owner role in the LACE
- Facilitate scrum events for ad hoc teams when necessary
- Identify and help remove blockers for the development teams and protect their focus towards delivering value
Qualifications
- Master's or bachelor's degree in psychology, business management, software development or another relevant field
- Certified Scrum Master (min. CSM or PSM I)
- 5+ years' experience of leadership in a team in an agile environment
- 5+ years' experience as a dedicated scrum master or agile coach
- Experience with other agile frameworks (e.g. SAFe, Kanban, Lean...)
- Strong communication and facilitations skills in English (Norwegian is a strong advantage)
- Proactive problem solver with the ability to inspire others
- Experience with change management and organisational transformation
- Metric driven approach to measuring success in agile practices
- Nice to have:
- Experience scaling agile frameworks in large organizations.
- Experience as a developer, familiar with IT Architecture, ITIL, and Azure cloud.
- Experience in the energy industry.
