JOB SUMMARY: This position is in Region 4, Water Division, Surface Water Protection Branch, Monitoring, Assessment, Listing and TMDL Section. About Region 4. This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis. EPA offers work-from-home and work schedule flexibilities as described in the Benefits section. MAJOR DUTIES: You will: Serve as a technical advisor to the Section Supervisor and Branch Supervisor. Evaluate and document a variety of environmental and human health data/data sources to be used in assessment of water quality. Serve as the Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDL) Coordinator with assigned states and provide technical guidance and assistance to the states, as needed. Provide expertise on the TMDL program. You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements.
