JOB SUMMARY: The Program Manager (Rivers, Trails and Conservation Assistance Program) is located in the Partnership and Civic Engagement Division. The incumbent will develop program policies, proposals and processes as well as strategically manage and guide planning and project management, human resources and financial and information resources. This is a temporary promotion not to exceed 2 years, and can be extended up to 5 years. This temporary promotion may be made permanent without further competition. MAJOR DUTIES: The major duties of the Program Manager (Rivers, Trails and Conservation Assistance Program) position include, but are not limited to, the following: Oversee and guide the program and regional managers to successfully achieve the program's mission and goals. Plan and facilitate strategic change that are aimed at achieving and improving the quality, effectiveness, accountability and timeliness of program's accomplishments. Apply technical knowledge, analyze challenges and evaluate alternatives and identify a course of action to address specific agency/program challenges. Supervise employees and strategically manage and guide planning and project management, human resources, financial and information resources. Advise management and executive leadership in the development of program policies, proposals, processes and recommendations.
