As a Sustainability Strategist at Quantis you will be accountable for the quality of project deliverables for your clients and for business development.
Your major responsibilities will be as follows:
- Develop credible, trusted relationships with senior client contacts in the Fashion and Sporting Goods sector and nurture them into more significant relationships
- Lead clients through setting and building sustainability strategies as part of projects, including as an active delivery team member, or as a project manager
- Advocate for project / scope / team in face of client demands
- Proactively identify client needs, propose solutions and manage clients
You will be successful in your role if you:

- Simultaneously manage multiple projects by reliably delivering time / cost / budget while also protecting team workloads

- You’re motivated to put your consulting skills and sustainability experience to work towards our mission of aligning businesses with Planetary Boundaries.
- For 5+ years you’ve been sharpening your project management skills and sustainability expertise in a professional setting in the private sector, ideally with some experience in consulting, where you’ve developed an appetite for business development.
- You have strong project management skills, and can organise workload, project streams and priorities to deliver in a timely manner.
- You have previous exposure to sustainability topics, especially in the fashion industry
- You have the capacity to listen to client needs to create and communicate creative and adapted solutions.
- You have a good understanding of the fashion sector and the related challenges & opportunities relevant to sustainability topics, ideally with a good network.
- You have a Master’s degree in business, engineering or science.
- You’re motivated for teamwork and able to integrate and work with a diverse team, including a range of scientific and creative profiles.
- You believe in the power of science and get excited about guiding companies to understand and design transformative and science-based strategy.
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- You communicate effectively in fluent English. Fluency in German is highly desired.
AS A SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGIST, HERE’S A PREVIEW OF WHAT TYPE OF WORK YOUR DAYS WILL INCLUDE:
Manage and deliver client project work related to Fashion and sporting goods:
- Deliver and support projects, which focus can span from footprinting to target setting and implementation of actions
- Manage all aspects of client projects from project scoping to crafting solutions to developing high-standard, timely deliverables, ensure project profitability and efficiency
- Build, develop and manage efficient and balanced consultant projects teams, including providing growth opportunities and constructive feedback for a more performing team
- Proactively identify, communicate and autonomously resolve project risks, within the project team and with the client
- Recognize and fill skill / knowledge gaps in project team
- Identify process or system improvements that could improve project team effectiveness
Business development:
- Develop and manage existing and new client relations across the fashion and sporting goods sectors, including through meeting prospects, writing proposals and presenting to potential clients
- Contribute to communications and marketing strategies and actions
- Proactively identify client needs and propose solutions involving one or more standard offerings and win multiple projects per year
- Participate in co-designs of solutions and proposals with other team members including experts and other strategists
- Provide reliable proposal quality review
- Build and nurture optimal and trustful client and industry relationships

- NRW region (preferred) or Berlin
- Optimal start date: As soon as possible
- Frequent collaboration with other Quantis branches (France, Italy, Switzerland, USA) via web-conferences
- Ability to travel occasionally
