The mission of the Global Product organization is to translate our investment management capabilities into a comprehensive product strategy rooted in the firm’s strategic growth plans. Global Product focuses on innovation, commercialization and product lifecycle management. We work collaboratively with our partners in investment manufacturing and distribution to ensure that we meet or exceed the firm’s growth objectives, deliver innovative strategies, foster deeper client engagement through differentiated positioning and strengthen the foundation of our product capabilities.
Based in either Amsterdam or London, the Head of Sustainable Investing Product Research & Development will serve to define and execute on the strategic plan for innovation and commercialization of NTAM’s Sustainable Investing products and capabilities globally. This role will lead (1) product strategy; (2) product development and (3) product positioning and messaging for NTAM’s Sustainable Investing business, and will partner closely with the Investments and Sustainable Investing team to define the research and development agenda. This role will also partner closely with Distribution partners to drive the commercialization of new and existing products to drive organic revenue growth for the firm.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Product manage the portfolio of SI products, ensuring there is a coherent SI product strategy ranging from exclusionary products to thematics
- Analyze SI industry trends to drive product development and commercialization efforts
- Drive SI ideation and product development, in core and thematic products
- Maintain high engagement with key SI industry forums and associations
- Represent NTAM in various internal and external forums, including client engagement on SI product related opportunities and providing SI product training.
Knowledge / Skills:
The successful candidate will benefit from having:
- Senior experience in SI investment product management, portfolio management; or with related SI data providers and a demonstrated track record of product development
- Likely to have worked in continental Europe with an established EU industry network
- Excellent analytical skills and being able to translate industry and investor trends into commercial products
- Expertise in SI trends, data and reporting capabilities
- Strong business management skills with an ability to generate specific and measurable action plans
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong team orientation with solid negotiation skills and an ability to influence across disciplines and outside of reporting lines; an ability to lead virtual teams
- Proficient with ESG data and investment tool sets
- Bachelor degree; CFA and/or other professional/investment qualification strongly preferred.
