Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead a critical, multi-year project to evolve and deliverSustainalytics approach to the CSRD regulation. This role will oversee the development of Sustainalytics’ range of products and solutions data collection and storage, working closely with our project workstreams across technology, data, research, methodology, product, commercial, and communications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical project management and data-related projects, ensuring the project progresses efficiently and aligns with market needs and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the range of projects which compriseour CSRDprogramme, including Product focused releases to the market, internal data collection initiatives, and the validation and supplementing of our existing data framework, ensuring timelyand successful delivery of all aspects.

Develop an in-depth understanding of our business processes, corporate systems, and infrastructure.

With project workstream leaders, create and oversee project timelines, tasks/responsibilities, and deliverables for the project; collaborate with technology and data teams to develop and implement the new data operating model; coordinate with the commercial and product workstream to keep the client voice central to the project.

Track project milestones and deliverables, ensuring the project stays on schedule and within budget.

Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, including the executive leadership team, providing regular updates on project status.

Work with project stakeholders to define and document project scope, detailed functional, non-functional, and technical requirements when needed.

Partner with groups throughout Sustainalytics and Morningstar to proactively manage dependencies.

Cultivate a culture of team collaboration along with open and honest communication.

Analyze key metrics impacting project progress and/or project team performance and work with the business to resolve any issues/impediments.

Focus on continuous process improvement through feedback loops, coaching, retrospectives, and individual improvement to help the team achieve optimal performance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, data science, or a related field. A master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, with a focus on technical projects and data management.

Proficiency in project management software, data management tools, and familiarity with data storage solutions.

Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage complex projects

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.

Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work in a fast-paced environment.

A demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex activities concurrently.

Strong leadership, communication, time management, problem solving, and analytical skills.

Ability to influence decision-making processes and foster an environment of healthy team debate.

Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and can keep a team on track.
