The Opportunity
As a key member of our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team, you will play a crucial role in supporting and assisting the business to implement company-wide health, safety, and training policies and procedures. This role involves providing expert advice and guidance on HSE practices, ensuring the highest standards are maintained across our operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the HSE Team in managing processes to ensure compliance with current legislative requirements.
- Support the HSE Team in improving compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate the implementation of approved HSE policies and procedures across the business.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure HSE processes are effectively applied and verified on-site.
- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and audits as needed.
- Prepare reports on safety performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate safety initiatives and programs across the company.
- Perform standard administrative tasks such as taking meeting minutes, analysing data, organising site inductions, and handling other HSE-related duties.
- Assist with incident investigations, follow up on corrective actions, and ensure timely resolution, escalating issues to the HSE Manager when required.
- Suggest and implement improvements to enhance HSE practices within the business.
- Assist with injury and illness management coordination.
- Support the completion of pre-qualifications for tenders.
- Perform other duties as needed to meet operational requirements.
Essential Requirements
- Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
- Certificate IV in Environmental Management (desirable).
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent (desirable).
- Strong time management, planning, and organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in health and hygiene monitoring (desirable).
- Excellent communication and consultation skills with key stakeholders.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and credibility.
- Valid C Class Driver’s License.
