About Us
Wheatbelt Natural Resource Management is an independent, community-based organisation that provides leadership in the management of natural resources of the Avon River Basin of WA. We aim for the sustainable use and enjoyment of the unique natural resources of the Wheatbelt. We are a dynamic, passionate team engaging the Wheatbelt community in the protection and enhancement of our natural environment. We have three key streams of activity. The Healthy Environments team works to protect and enhance the Wheatbelt’s biodiversity. The Sustainable Agriculture team focuses on sustainable, resilient agricultural systems and soil health. The Aboriginal NRM Program provides pathways to employment on country through Ranger programs and works to support the Ballardong Elders group to implement the Koort Boodjar – Mia Boodjar Aboriginal NRM Action Plan 2021-2026. Our vision of a vibrant Wheatbelt community creating healthy environments and livelihoods is driven by our commitment to developing a legacy of community action. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workforce and are an equal opportunity employer. We value and strongly encourage people with disabilities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, young people, and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to apply for positions within our organisation. All qualified applicants will be considered regardless of age, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, and marital status.
