About Wheatbelt NRM
Wheatbelt Natural Resource Management is a non-profit organisation working in partnership with community, industry and government to provide regional leadership and direction for sustainable land use and the conservation of natural resources in the Avon River Basin of Western Australia.
About the Role
The Project Manager for Low Carbon and Restoration Landscapes will lead and manage the Wheatbelt Land-Use Paradigms project, focusing on effective project implementation, communication, and coordination with key partners. This role requires strong project management skills to ensure activities align with the Activity Work Plan and the organisational strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading project implementation with the support of senior management.
• Identifying risks and managing issues affecting the achievement of targets.
• Engaging in regular communication with project partners and managing subject matter consultants to meet project deadlines.
• Conducting research, planning, and analytical project work to support effective project delivery.

Selection Criteria
Technical Skills: Tertiary qualifications and/or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in sustainability, environmental management, or the agricultural sector, with desirable knowledge of landscape restoration economies, including carbon farming and the nature repair market.
Communication Skills: Strong team communication skills, with a focus on effective collaboration and information-sharing across internal teams. Experience communicating with agricultural stakeholders.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Self-Motivation: Demonstrated ability to work independently to achieve project goals and meet deadlines.
