DescriptionGeneral Purpose:
The Sr. Environmental Regulatory Affairs Manager ensures product compliance with environmental regulations and informs cross-functional teams on environmental considerations for product development and material selection.
Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:
Requirements:
- Ensure product compliance with state, national and international environmental regulations, particularly EU and US law.
- Provide guidance and training to internal teams on environmental regulations, particularly chemicals and restricted substances.
- Monitor and report on environmental performance and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to inform environmental considerations into product development.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 4+ years of experience in environmental regulatory affairs.
- Knowledge and experience reporting on environmental regulations, primarily concerning chemicals and restricted substances in products. Experience in the electronics industry is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Strong English proficiency, particularly for technical and professional correspondence.
- Regulatory understanding including, but not limited to: plastics and PFAS, California Prop65, TSCA, Eco-design, Eco-labeling, WEEE, and EU RoHS and REACH.
- Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom.
