HOW YOU WILL IMPACT OUR MISSION
The Web Developer provides technical production expertise to maintain the organization's internal and external web properties and assist in the creation of ancillary online applications. A portfolio of previous work is required to apply. This position reports to the Web Supervisor.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Provide application development support and expertise to the Web Team.
- Develop new content-management applications and tools in Drupal and Wordpress.
- Maintain related hardware and software, installs upgrades, and resolves system errors as they arise.
- Implement all security updates in a timely manner.
- Assist with production, maintenance and modification of Web site’s front-end existing code and scripting (HTML, CSS, Java Script, AJAX, XML).
- Provide internal assistance with Web servers (Apache/Linux) in conjunction with outside system administrator vendor.
- Provide estimates of work scope and timelines based on defined requirements.
- Monitor usage and performance, creates and maintains backups, and troubleshoots and resolves issues as they arise.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Seeking an experienced Web Developerwith a strong background in Drupaldevelopment to join our dev team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Twig templating, webhooks, and API integrationto help build and enhance dynamic web applications and websites. Must know how to implement front-end functionality using Twig templates, ensuring responsive, accessible, and optimized user experiences. Has experience in setting up and managing webhooksto automate data transfers and workflows between web applications.
JOB EXPERIENCE
- Experience in Web programming/ development required.
- Experience and knowledge of open-source Web development platforms required.
- Experience with Drupal and Wordpress content management software required.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Web design or a related field or equivalent specialized training required.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Strong working knowledge of full life cycle of software development.
- LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP) knowledge required.
- Web design, layout and coding HTML, Cascading Style Sheets (Full CSS Layouts), JavaScript knowledge required.
- Familiar with Adobe Suite software (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, XD).
- Knowledge of Composer and Git for updating Drupal sites.
- Advanced knowledge of Drupal views, content types, media, and custom blocks.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- CDN’s, Enterprise level CMS and Digital Asset Management solutions strongly desired.
- Understanding of multiple development environment platforms, prefer experience with Pantheon.
- Communicate and organize projects effectively.
- Work effectively with others in a diverse environment.
