Job Description Summary
HD Services Core ITR Engineering team MEA and Asia owns the application engineering and execution of conversions, modifications, and uprates to the installed fleet of HD Gas Turbines in MEA and Asia regions.
The Senior Engineer, will provide leadership and technical direction to requisition engineers supporting Gas Turbine CM&U projects. In this role you will be responsible for managing the Pre-ITO to ITO to OTR handoffs on behalf of the application and requisition team for all Core projects, supporting initiatives that drive productivity and providing technical oversight/direction to ensure safety, quality and on time delivery to our Gas Power Services customers.
Job Description
Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
- Review (Scope, cost and Schedule), evaluate risks, lead technical discussions as part of Pre-ITO to ITO (R1) and ITO-OTR hand off (R3) and assign the incoming CM&U orders to the appropriate team members based on workload and technical ability.
- As ITR Senior Engineer, handle the Services upgrades deal from ITO to OTR till the successful Outage completion.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight for a team of ITR engineers, for a identified scope of offerings like Rotor upgrades and Roto Life management projects to help drive Gas Power services growth for core gas upgrades
- Collaborate with the interfacing teams like Commercial managers, Project managers, ITO teams and design engineering teams, in reviewing the project / contract needs and to evaluate risks. Provide technical direction to interfacing teams as required, so as to achieve the business KPIs and Objectives of the project / contract.
- Lead various initiatives, process improvements, continuous improvement, kaizens / PSRs aimed to drive measurable improvement focused in the areas of safety, quality, delivery and cost (SQDC) for Gas Turbine Services upgrade projects.
- Train and support team members to transition from ITO or OTR to ITR ownership. Collaborate with leadership and take lead in establishing and driving culture as a ITR team.
- Promote professional growth through timely performance feedback, coaching and mentoring of the team members.
- Own and manage KPI's/metrics unique to the core upgrades space to foster business growth and margin enhancement
- Interface with Contractor Team Leader to distribute workload for best resource allocation and drive quality and on time delivery of project deliverables.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• This role requires significant knowledge and experience in the function as listed above
• significant experience in direct or indirect application engineering and/ or project engineering experience
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University or Equivalent Knowledge level comparable to a Bachelor’s degree
