Our client in the energy industry is urgently looking for a Head of Commercial (Green Energy) to join their dynamic executive team and play a pivotal role in driving the commercial success of large-scale residential and SMME solar projects.
Will be responsible for building a team, setting the strategy, sales management and stakeholder engagement.
In order to be considered the following is required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Commercial or a related field
- Proven experience (minimum 10 years) in commercial management, preferably within the renewable energy sector. Small scale C&I, EPC
- Familiarity with small to mid-solar projects and the residential market
- Strong negotiation, communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving business objectives
Responsibilities:Commercial Strategy Development:
- Lead the formulation and execution of the commercial strategy for large-scale residential solar projects and small-scale, business projects (25 - 300Kwh)
- Identify growth opportunities and revenue streams within the solar market
Sales and Business Development:
- Drive sales efforts, including client acquisition, channel strategy and relationship management
- Collaborate with the sales team to achieve revenue targets
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers and partners
Process design:
- Ensuring customer journey end-to-end is flawless
- Working with development team to scale with technology, not just people
