Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Solar Project Manager to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of solar projects from inception to final delivery. This role requires strong leadership and excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of solar energy technologies and project management principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and implementation of solar projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
- Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Monitor project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
- Manage relationships with clients, suppliers, and all project stakeholders.
- Perform risk management to minimise project risks and develop contingency plans.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, local regulations, and safety protocols.
- Report on and escalate issues to management as needed.
- Foster a collaborative and positive working environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Project Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the Solar or Renewable Energy industry.
- Strong knowledge of solar energy systems, components, and installation processes.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to travel to project sites as required.
