The principle responsibilities essentially includes -
- Responsible for conducting performance analysis of solar PV plants in operation which would essentially include:
- Analysis and development of meteorological files for use in simulation software.
- Analysis of energy production data from PV projects, including comparison of operating vs. modelled data, downtime analyses.
- Statistical Analysis of Long Term Energy Yields
- Qualitative and quantitative data analysis using Python and Excel.
- Performance Analysis of Individual Components – Arrays, Inverters and Energy Meter Data.
- Technology and Design Optimisation of PV Plants using Analytical Methods.
- Review performance ratio test procedures for plant acceptance proposed by the test party and evaluate the performance of solar projects.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Electronics & Instrumentation).
- Demonstrated experience in Python and Excel based data analysis.
- ≥3 years of work experience in relevant industry.
- Understanding of PV systems, PV technologies, energy yield analysis using simulation software.
- Strong analytical skills and an aptitude for analysing statistical data.
- Ability to write and compose clear and accurate reports in English
- Knowledge of the solar Indian market.
- Ability to identify problems, develop solutions, conduct analysis independently and in collaboration with others.
- Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- Drive continuous improvements by identifying deficiencies in existing tools and methods.
- Available to travel periodically to remote PV Plant and Owner/Customer locations in India or abroad.
