Location of Position
This position is a fully remote position, with a hybrid work schedule of 2 in-office days highly encouraged if located near our NYC or Buffalo office locations.

Position Summary
The Associate will coordinate all project due diligence, modeling and investment screening across CleanCapital's development pipeline, as well as executing project financing and M&A transactions. The Associate is expected to complete complex tasks independently, with oversight and input from their supervisor. Specific responsibilities include:
• Works with the development team to value projects in various stages of development, building complex valuation models, identifying risks and opportunities and presenting target development initiatives to investment committee
• Acts as investment manager for internally developed projects, coordinating with project managers, owning, updating and auditing the portfolio model, conducting due diligence, coordinating with third party advisors, and creating investment committee materials
• Screens development opportunities across CleanCapital's existing pipeline and project origination efforts to assess project viability and guide future origination efforts
• Works with the Capital Markets team and external financing advisors to coordinate marketing materials, models, Q&A for tax equity and debt financings and monitor project development expense budgeting
• As needed, completes special projects for other business verticals at CleanCapital
Education Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred
Technical Skills and Experience
● 4+ years of experience in renewable energy acquisitions and financing.
● Preferred, but not required experience:
○ Creation and modification of sophisticated Excel based models including financial statement models and valuations/LBO/DCF models.
○ Managing and/or coordinating complex transactions with multiple stakeholders and advisors.
○ Conducting asset due diligence and auditing financial models to ensure 100% accuracy of assumptions and information
○ Writing comprehensive summary documents and collecting investment materials to present to senior and external audiences.
● Solar experience is strongly preferred.
