Effectively services client accounts and underwrite new and renewing business with direction and oversight from Senior Underwriting Team of GCube.
Relying on limited experience and knowledge, this role is responsible for accomplishing the following assignments. These assignments are varied in nature.
Administration- Data entry to front and back-end computer systems for new business enquiries, midterm adjustments and renewals.
- Production of documentation including quotations/non-binding indications (NBIs), certificates of insurance and endorsements.
- Check quotations/NBIs, certificates, endorsements and broker slips for accuracy.
- Preparation and completion of electronic policy records.
- Prepare and maintain records of negotiations with clients following meetings, telephone calls, ensuring a complete audit trail at all times.
- Utilize SharePoint for all enquiries, quotes, bound and renewing business in order to ensure a complete audit trail at all times.
Underwriting- Respond to, and handle, new business, mid-term adjustment and renewal enquiries received in a timely manner.
- Ensure all new business tools such as Salesforce and Xii are checked to ensure any enquiry is new to GCube and update each system as appropriate.
- Review and summarise new business and renewal submissions and prepare terms for sign off by an appropriate GCube Underwriter. This will include a review of the Broker submission, preparation of new/renewal quotations and NBIs summarising the risk profile to the Underwriter and being able to demonstrate sound underwriting methodology in terms, conditions and any subjectivities being proposed.
- Work to maintain a profitable book of business in line with GCube company strategy - net loss ratio of <65%.
- To present and deliver quotations and NBIs to clients in accordance with company standards and to ensure all such quotes/NBIs are followed up on until their conclusion and recorded on GCube systems as appropriate.
- Maximise growth from existing client accounts for core GCube business and to assist in the development of new client relationships.
- To have a strong understanding of wordings and to be able to review broker and insurer produced wordings and summarize key differentials.
Retention of Business- Responsible for a portfolio of renewable accounts within limited level of authority.
- Ensuring renewal information is obtained from the client in good time, the loss ratios produced are ratified, the risk profile is thoroughly reviewed in line with account performance and GCube strategy and the risk is referred to the Underwriting Committee (UWC) where appropriate.
- Renewal terms prepared and sent to client and client instructions sought until the renewal is concluded.
- Achieve GCube target renewal retention rate of 90%.
Ensure that all statutory regulations and company procedures are followed to protect clients, colleagues and business interests of the Company.
- Adheres to the content of the GCube Operating Procedures Manual (OPM).
- Maintain record of negotiations and discussions with clients to ensure a complete audit trail at all times.
- Contributes to a successful audit score.
- Act in a professional manner to ensure there are no E&O’s.
- Demonstrates awareness of the appropriate regulations.

The salary offered for this specific position is based on a number of legitimate, non-discriminatory factors set by the Company.
