Role SummaryWe are seeking an experienced UI/UX designer to join our Enterprise Digital team at Rivian to help create the tools that enable our internal partners in sales, service, and manufacturing throughout the organization.
As an Enterprise designer on Rivian's UI/UX team, you will focus on creating innovative, user-centric interfaces that drive production, management, and service of our fleet of all-electric vehicles. You'll use advanced processes to test and visualize the platforms used throughout our field, delivery, and factory teams. Your work will help differentiate Rivian from traditional automakers by emphasizing a modern, connected experience that reflects our commitment to user experience, excellence, and precision.
Responsibilities- Work closely with our partners to define the user problems and opportunities for improving the experience and performance of our enterprise tools.
- Contribute to feature roadmaps and planning in collaboration with our cross-functional teams to define our focus in the quarters ahead.
- Collaborate with design teams across Rivian including service, manufacturing, and vehicle digital to create a cohesive experience throughout our enterprise tools.
- Manage the design of individual projects and workstreams from initiation through release.
- Create strategic design briefs to set the framing and scope of each project.
- Understand user needs through contextual inquiry (going out into the field and asking people questions)
- Iterate on possible solutions throughout the design process, from early sketches to polished final prototypes.
- Present work to business stakeholders and design leadership.
- Document final designs in detailed handoff files. Apply our design system to drive consistency across our digital ecosystem. Work with our Design Systems team to stretch and redefine our patterns when needed.
- Work closely with development partners throughout the build process to test in-flight work prior to release
Qualifications- 5+ years working in UI/UX design roles where you have launched and iterated multiple versions of software products
- A compelling visual portfolio of work to demonstrate design experience
- Experience working closely with cross functional teams in an agile fashion
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- 2+ years creating enterprise tools intended to increase performance, capabilities, and throughput of internal services
- Highly proficient in Figma, Photoshop, Office 365/Google Drive productivity apps
Pay DisclosureSalary Range Irvine-Based Applicants: $132,000-$165,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, and other factors permitted by law).
