Role SummaryRivian’s Autonomy Data, Eval & Triage Team is responsible for the end-to-end implementation of cloud digital experiences across web and mobile apps. To that end, we are developing a world-class cloud services platform that will support implementing fully autonomous self-driving for Rivian vehicles. We are seeking a Software Engineer who will be developing large-scale applications using the latest cloud services technologies, AWS resources, and UI frameworks. You’ll be building from the ground up with an obsession to help the Autonomy team go as fast as possible and manage petabytes of sensor data.
Responsibilities- Developing a visualization tool for ADAS data
- Partner with architects, product management, and engineers on requirements, architecture, design, and development plans
- Collaborate with stakeholders to build user-friendly, immersive, reactive applications
- Drive our new UX/UI ideas, communicate and document them
- Take the scale and performance of the applications to the next level using in-house, open-source, and cloud tools and technologies
- Ensure a high product quality bar is maintained by creating automated tests for the developed code
Qualifications- Master in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent in the related field, and at least 5 years of relevant experience; or at least 7 years of industry experience
- 7+ years of experience in a similar or related role.
- Expertise with modern full-stack web development TypeScript and React
- Proficient in back-end languages with Python
- Knowledge of video encoder/decoder is a plus
- Knowledge of web technologies such as WebAssembly, WebWorker, WebGL, WebCodec is a plus
- Experience with three.js, Babylon.js, or another 3D rendering engine is a plus
- Experience programming in C++ a plus
Pay DisclosureSalary Range for California Based Applicants: $206,500.00 - $258,000.00 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
