Summary
This position is responsible for providing seasonal support and backup to the scale house, probe house and assisting with ground pile operations. Hours will vary between 6am-8pm M-F, and 7am-6pm on Saturdays. This position will last through harvest with potential to be hired into a permanent role.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
1. Probe and test grain samples and provide accurate documentation of results.
2. Receive and weigh grain, weigh outbound Co-products.
3. Weigh ingredient deliveries to ensure accurate billing and receivables.
4. Prepare documentation for grain received in a timely and accurate manner.
5. Review tickets on both inbound and outbound for accuracy.
6. Enter customer and product data into accounting software.
7. Greet customers and visitors in a friendly and courteous manner and direct them to the appropriate locations.
8. Assist with operating auger and grain conveyor.
9. Maintain records of deliveries.
10. Direct trucks to the proper location for loading/unloading within the plant.
11. Communicate with Grains receiving to ensure the timely unloading of products received.
12. Keep workspace and surrounding areas clean and presentable at all times.
13. Other duties as may be assigned to accomplish the safe and timely operations within the plant.
14. Wear personal protective equipment as required in the particular area of the plant.
Qualifications
1. Previous experience in a grain receiving and grading preferred
2. Excellent verbal skills
3. Ability to greet customers in a friendly manner
4. Attention to detail
5. Ability to handle multiple tasks
6. Ability to work with all levels of staff (co-workers and management)
7. Proficient Microsoft and Excel software skills
8. Exemplify the high standards necessary to accomplish the goals of this Company
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous grain grading or grain handling experience preferred
