Job Advert SummaryThe Construction Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all construction activities related to solar PV installations at commercial, industrial, and utility-scale sites. This role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards. The Construction Manager works closely with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to align execution with Solareff’s standards for sustainable, high-performance energy systems.
Minimum RequirementsQualifications & Experience
- National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Registration with South African Council for the Project and Construction Management (SACPCMP) would be advantageous
- 5–8 years of experience in construction management, preferably in renewable energy or electrical infrastructure.
- Proven experience in managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, HSE regulations, and industry best practices.
- Experience working with EPC contracts and subcontractor management
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent leadership and team coordination skills.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Effective communication and reporting skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Project, Excel, and construction management software.
Other Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to remote project sites.
- Willingness to work extended hours during critical project phases.
