Galileo is afast-growing renewable energy
developer, investor and operator, currently in the very dynamic
start-up phase.Our mission is to
make a meaningful contribution to the European renewable energy transition.
Since our foundation in 2020, we have secured a pipeline of over 17 GW of solar PV, onshore wind, offshore wind and storage projects across nine markets in Europe. As our portfolio and presence
across Europe grows, so does our impact. We care about making that impact
positive, and in achieving our business goals in a sustainable way.
This year, Galileo completed its transition to Independent Power Producer
(IPP) in Italy, our first market for owned operating assets, with the ambition
to extend this model to other key European markets in the coming years.
We are looking for our newEuropean Sales Manager – Energy
Offtake Solutions, who willoriginate, negotiate and secure a broad range of
energy offtake solutions for Wind, Solar and Battery Storage projects with utilities
and corporate customers across Galileo's active European markets, with priority
focus on Italy. This is a sales-first role: we are looking for someone with a
genuine commercial mindset and a track record of selling energy through diverse
solutions. This person will be based in Milan (possibility of hybrid remote
working), reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer.
What you’ll do:
- Segment potential utilities and corporate customer groups, develop business relationships and propose appropriate commercial structures
& marketing plans across both segments.
- Proactively scout the market to identify and target potential offtakers,
with priority focus on Italy and, as key secondary markets, Germany, UK, Poland
and, Ireland. Evaluate requests for proposals, lead bid preparation, prepare
competitive analysis.
- Identify the most effective offtake products to place
in each target market — including PPAs, storage offtake and
flexibility/ancillary services solutions — building relationships with clients
to understand which solutions work best in the key markets above, factoring in
market competition and evolving regulation.
- Lead the negotiation and origination of offtake deals, working closely with
Galileo's legal team and relevant departments (development, M&A, technical,
pricing) who provide contractual and cross-functional support throughout the
process.
- Interface directly with Galileo's local Business Development directors to
align origination efforts with the broader development strategy in each country.
- Develop clear and effective processes and ways of working across all
activities within the offtake origination function.
- Participate in relevant industry conferences and other events to foster the
knowledge of Galileo as an industry leader.
