What you’ll do
Responsible for identifying, developing, negotiating, and implementing new business opportunities, commercial channels, and strategic partnerships that deliver additional value to Scout customers, create incremental revenue and improve operational efficiency.
This role acts as a key commercial driver within Aftersales, proactively identifying opportunities to expand the business beyond traditional service and parts activities. The position works closely with Retail, Finance, Pricing, Purchasing, Legal, and other Aftersales functions to transform opportunities into viable, scalable, and customer-focused solutions.

- Identify and develop new Aftersales business opportunities, revenue streams, services, and commercial concepts that increase customer value and contribute to sustainable revenue and profitability.
- Develop, negotiate, and implement partnerships with third-party providers to create new channels, improve efficiency, and expand the Aftersales value proposition, including opportunities such as drop-ship models for tires, 12V batteries, glass, and other relevant products and services.
- Develop innovative service packages, seasonal programs, promotions, bundled offers, and other commercial initiatives in close alignment with Retail, Pricing, and relevant business areas.
- Lead commercial negotiations with potential partners and suppliers and coordinate with Purchasing, Legal, Finance, and operational teams to move opportunities from concept through agreement and implementation.
- Ensure partnerships and new business concepts deliver tangible customer benefits through improved convenience, competitive offerings, expanded service options, or enhanced ownership experience.
- Define the commercial assumptions and requirements for new initiatives and work with Finance and Aftersales Cost Analysis to develop and validate business cases, profitability, pricing, and financial impact.
- Provide commercial expertise to other Scout and Aftersales initiatives, including Product Protection, labor strategies, discount structures, pricing concepts, service packages, and other customer-facing business models.
- Continuously evaluate market developments, emerging business models, customer expectations, competitors, and new technologies to identify opportunities applicable to Scout Aftersales.
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate market analysis, opportunity identification, benchmarking, concept development, and productivity while identifying innovative applications for the Aftersales business.
- Take ownership of identified opportunities and actively drive them through cross-functional alignment, decision-making, negotiation, implementation, and performance follow-up.
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role may be based out of the Scout Motors corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC.
- This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
- 8+ years of relevant experience, with strong exposure to Aftersales, business development, commercial strategy, innovation, or new business models.
- Strong understanding of the Aftersales business, including parts, service, customer offers, pricing, channels, and partner ecosystems.
- Demonstrated experience developing and negotiating commercial partnerships and working with external suppliers or service providers.
- Strong commercial and financial understanding, with the ability to define business assumptions and work effectively with Finance on business cases.
- Experience working across multiple functions and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
- Strong understanding and practical application of AI and digital tools in business analysis, innovation, and productivity.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to effectively partner across the organization.
- Experience supporting startup, launch, transformation, or high-growth business environments preferred.

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial Base Salary Range: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00
