Key Responsibilities
Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for large-scale wind power projects from project initiation through commercial operation.
Drive project execution in line with approved scope, schedule, cost, quality, HSE, and contractual requirements.
Lead project teams covering Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Civil, Electrical, WTG Erection, Commissioning, Quality, HSE, Contracts, Commercial, Planning, and Project Controls.
Manage end-to-end execution of wind farms, including:
Wind turbine generator (WTG) erection and installation
Foundations and civil works
Roads and infrastructure
Internal electrical network
Pooling substations
Transmission lines
SCADA and communication systems
Grid interconnection
Testing and commissioning
Coordinate with WTG OEMs, EPC contractors, consultants, subcontractors, utilities, government authorities, and other stakeholders.
Ensure timely procurement and delivery of critical project materials, equipment, and services.
Monitor project progress against approved baseline schedule and milestones and implement recovery plans wherever required.
Take ownership of project budgets, cost control, cash flow, forecasting, and overall financial performance.
Lead contractual and commercial matters, including variations, claims, EOT, subcontract management, and dispute resolution.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, statutory requirements, and client requirements.
Establish and maintain strong project governance, reporting, review mechanisms, and performance-monitoring systems.
Drive project risk identification, mitigation, and contingency planning.
Ensure strict implementation of HSE standards across the project and promote a strong safety culture.
Ensure quality assurance and quality control throughout construction, erection, testing, and commissioning.
Lead coordination with transmission utilities/grid authorities for grid connectivity and project energization.
Review and approve major project execution strategies, method statements, resource plans, and recovery plans.
Represent the organization in meetings with clients, senior management, consultants, government authorities, OEMs, and other external stakeholders.
Ensure timely completion, handover, commissioning, and COD of the project.
Develop and mentor project leadership teams and ensure effective manpower deployment
