Semper Solaris is looking for an organized and motivated Battery Foreman/Lead for our Solar Operations department. The Battery Foreman/Lead will perform a wide variety of electrical and operations duties. The ideal candidate will be motivated, dedicated, and a team player. In addition, the ideal candidate will have high attention to detail and genuinely care about his/her craftsmanship.

Responsibilities:
- Direct the work of others at job site - provide subject matter expertise as needed
- Complete electrical installations on various types and styles and brands of equipment
- Ensure proper job documentation is completed once the job installation concludes
- Interact with customers - answer and direct questions as needed
- Read and review blueprints and plan documents
- Install battery storage equipment (Including batteries, microgrid interconnection devices, disconnects, current transformers, etc)
- Install conduit and wiring in compliance with NEC and local codes in a professional manner
- Maintain weatherproof seals, such as pipe flashings and sealants, to roof penetrations and structural devices
- Test operation or functionality of mechanical, electrical, and control systems
- Install subpanels, loadcenters, main electrical panels, disconnects
- Manage all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks
- Diagnose electrical errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
- Other tasks and duties as needed
- Previous experience managing or overseeing the work of others required
- Previous experience utilizing power and hand tools required
- Previous experience with solar PV installation, roofing, or general construction is preferred
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Must be able to maintain a high level of quality assurance with an emphasis on safety
- Basic understanding of electrical wiring
- Must possess strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of the do's and do-nots of complete solar install
Preferred:

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
- Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairs regularly, and be comfortable with heights of at least 20 feet and walking on all roof types
- Able to work in various weather conditions and in extreme temperatures
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
Pay: up to $28 - $32hr. per hour DOE
