The Construction Health and Safety Manager is responsible for leading and managing all health and safety functions on the construction project. The incumbent ensures full compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993), Construction Regulations, project-specific Health and Safety Specifications, client requirements, and company policies.
The role provides strategic leadership in developing, implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving the Construction Health and Safety Management System to achieve a safe, incident-free work environment throughout the project lifecycle.
The successful candidate must:
- Be registered as a Construction Health and Safety Manager (Pr.CHSM) with the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP).
- Have maintained SACPCMP registration as a Construction Health and Safety Manager for a minimum of five (5) years.
